When you create an account we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We also store basic account metadata such as sign-up date, sign-in sessions and your current subscription plan.

We store the content you create in Storyly, including story ideas, settings, generated outlines and scenes, characters, series and the videos produced for you. This content is linked to your account and is only accessible to you, except where needed to operate the service or required by law.

To write stories, create voiceovers, generate scene visuals and render videos, the text and settings you provide are sent to third-party AI and media processing providers (for example providers of language models, text-to-speech, video generation and video rendering). These providers process the data on our behalf to return the generated result.

Do not include sensitive personal information in your story ideas. AI-generated output is stored in your account and in private storage so you can view and download it.

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive and store limited billing information such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan and billing period dates.

We use a secure authentication service to manage sign-in. A session token is stored in your browser so you stay signed in until you log out or the session expires.

We use storage that is necessary to run the service, such as keeping you signed in. With your consent only, we may use Google Analytics to measure usage in aggregate — without ads or personal data. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Notice for details.

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, access controls that restrict each user to their own data, private file storage and server-side handling of all secret credentials. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. Billing records may be kept longer where required for accounting or legal obligations. Temporary processing files may be removed automatically.

You can delete individual stories, characters and series at any time. To delete your entire account and associated content, contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Active subscriptions should be canceled first via Manage Subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
